Songbird Jennifer Keith comes
from a family full of entertainers. In fact she stems from Hollywood lineage
beginning with her Great Great Grandfather B.F. Keith who was the “K”
in RKO.
She has been singing for as long as she can remember. At an early age she
joined chior and later was accepted in to the prestigious Orange County High
School of the Arts. In college she also continued to study the theory of music
through difficult harmony technique and piano theory.
Jennifer began her professional
singing career at the age of eighteen; She appeared weekly at the beautiful
Madison supper club in Long beach where she was a featured vocalist in the “in
house” swing band. It was here that she started learning the classic vocal
styling from greatest era of music. The Jazz & pop singers from the 1940’s
and 50’s including Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Keely Smith, Julie London
& June Christy heavily influenced Jennifer.
It was at age 19 when she met Royal Crown Revue tenor saxophonist Mando Dorame
who guided her musical direction and later formed her first jazz quartet.
Just rcently she has performed at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas with Louis
Prima Jr. and at such LA venues as the Dorothy Chandler, The Edison, The Cicada
Club and the Smokehouse.
